Since 1998, MBAW’s mission has been to celebrate our shared humanity by providing access to global arts for all. MBAW envisions a world where fine arts are accessible to all, our common humanity is recognized, cultural diversity is celebrated and all are united in peace.

Alexandria Clarimond is a published author and a US Army veteran who was diagnosed with macular degeneration when she was in her early 60s. In this episode, Alexandria talks about her small town upbringing, the inspiration behind her novel, “Sight,” and how faith has helped her manage her diagnosis. If you’re interested in purchasing Alexandria’s novel, you may do so on Amazon, Good Reads, Barnes & Noble and others. The novel asks the question: What if losing one’s sight finally meant being able to see clearly? One of Owl Radio’s volunteers-- Susan Chambers -- narrates the audio book. Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center - Texas Workforce Commission

Cris Cole Rehab Center is with the Texas Workforce Commission in Austin, TX.  It is for those with low vison and those who take care of those with low vision. This training center is for adults who are blind and they live there for 6 - 9 months. 

Interview with Yvonne Grothues who oversees the women’s group that provides substantial grants to nonprofit organizations through collective giving and with Scott Badger who is the San Antonio Area Coordinator for the Texas Ramp Project, Scott manages volunteer teams that build wheelchair ramps for low-income adults and people with disabilities.

His organization received one of Impact San Antonio’s grants. Together, they discuss how you can become part of their organizations; how the grant process works and why they are passionate about what they do.
